WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT US
“We are so happy that we have enrolled our son at Wilderness Kindergarten. As soon as you enter you are greeted by such friendly, engaging, and nurturing educators. They take the time to know each child and their families. Every day we hear stories and are given detailed feedback about the fun, adventures and learning that he has experienced; reinforced by photos and the newsletters. Wilderness Kindergarten addresses the educational needs of each child as well as their emotional and social well-being. The children participate in activities that encourage them to engage, socialise and analyse the world around them, enriching their lives and forming a love of learning. Wilderness promotes a wonderful community spirit in a beautiful natural setting.” – Sally
“Wilderness, is a preschool which utilises the rich teaching opportunities and discoveries of nature with a strong emphasis on the Reggio Emilia approach. The classrooms are both indoors and outdoors, allowing students to explore, play and apply early concepts in math, literacy, science and ecology. Students also participate in yoga, cooking, Mandarin, and various forms of artistic expression. Great mixture of nurture and challenge. In my opinion, a very special school, whose founder, exhibits, sincere and genuine passion for a child’s emotional, social and academic well-being. “ – Anne Murphy, Director, ITS Education Asia (School Advisory Services)
“When looking for a preschool for our son, we had three priorities. Healthy, messy outdoor play; an internationally renown educational approach supporting creativity and experimentation; and warm, supportive teachers able to stimulate and encourage our son. We found this and more at Wilderness; a true gem – a kindergarten with a lovely home feel where children can grow plants, play in the sandpit, and bake in the kitchen overlooking the garden; alongside state-of-the-art learning resources, a beautiful, light-filled environment, and energetic, highly knowledgeable staff who seem to always be setting up yet another interesting learning opportunity for the children. We could not feel luckier to have found this little oasis in Hong Kong”~ The Orlando Family
I just wanted to send a quick email to tell you how much we are loving Wilderness. Thomas attends the playgroup sessions twice a week and wakes up very excited on those days as he can't wait to arrive and play. We all love the toys and activities that are planned and frequently changed to keep things interesting and fun for the children, and how 'play' is really at the forefront of everyone's minds (i.e. no pressure to have to do particular tasks). Thomas has developed a deep bond with Miss Jess and he loves interacting with her in the sessions and talks about her during the week. I think a good example of his love for Wilderness is how he runs around the centre saying "Playgroup oh yeah!" I think it's fantastic how there is a strong emphasis on physical and emotional well-being for the children which is so important as they grow and mature. Even though I am unable to attend the sessions due to work, I still feel like I am part of the Wilderness community through the newsletters which I love receiving. The information that is shared with the parents in these newsletters are both informative and enjoyable to read. Please congratulate your staff on the great jobs they are doing and thanks for creating such a warm, friendly, and fun learning environment!
I simply love Wilderness for my twin girls Emelia and Sienna! The teachers are incredible and highly knowledgable, the centre is is full of natural light and I love the use of natural resources instead of plastics. The whole kindergarten is enhanced with plants and herbs in a beautiful sunny outdoor school yard for play, sports and gardening. We just love it! The development in Emelia and Sienna since coming to Wilderness has been outstanding and each day there are new activities and adventures for them to be immersed in.
Truly Hong Kong’s best environment for young children. ~ Tessa Matthews
